A haiku
“Nice encryption there…
except we’ll need a back door.”
“What encryption? Where?”
(Inspired by Apple’s decision to pull its iCloud end-to-end encryption feature from the UK rather than install a back door. Reference: https://techcrunch.com/2025/02/21/apple-pulls-icloud-end-to-end-encryption-feature-for-uk-users-after-government-demanded-backdoor/)
All in the name of national security. So they now expect the bad guys to keep using iphone/icloud knowing the encryption has been compromised? Baddies are probably already using other means to protect comms. This will only hurt the law abiding.
Nice poem! Some 10 years ago I wrote an article in TOS about Apple refusing to provide a backdoor to their devices, especially iPhone. Which I'd written some verses instead haha.
